Golden Oyster (Pleurotus citrinopileatus)
has a somewhat cashew-like flavor, a very delicate texture, and is fragile when raw. they can go very well in pasta dishes, sautéed, work well as a good topping on steak and pizza, and can go well in soups. All the oyster mushroom varieties contain high amounts of fiber and protein and are low in fat and carbohydrates. They have also been found to lower cholesterol levels.
Delivery Information:
Free Local Pickup: Come down to the farm in Elmira to pick up your order for free. Currently pick up day is on Friday between 3 PM and 9 PM.
Local KW Area Delivery: If you live in or near the KW area we can deliver your order on Saturdays between 5 PM and 8 PM.
Additionally, you can come to visit us at the Stratford or St. jacobs farmers markets on Saturdays to get any of our mushrooms.
