Chestnut (Pholiota adiposa)
is a very versatile mushroom that can be described as a more mild shiitake, with a rich nutty flavour and an earthy aroma. The stems retain a texture resembling asparagus when cooked and go well in pasta and risotto dishes, omelettes, salads and soup.
Free Local Pickup: Come down to the farm in Elmira to pick up your order for free. Currently pick up day is on Friday between 3 PM and 9 PM.
Local KW Area Delivery: If you live in or near the KW area we can deliver your order on Saturdays between 5 PM and 8 PM.
Additionally, you can come to visit us at the Stratford or St. jacobs farmers markets on Saturdays to get any of our mushrooms.
